Sometimes opportunities arise that we just can’t pass up. When hearing about Hearten Haiti and Kings Organization in Port-Au-Prince Haiti we knew the opportunity to share what this organization was doing with everyone was one we couldn’t pass on. Haiti made the news big time when the earthquake hit in 2010, and since has become a popular destination for mission work. What alot of people don’t know is the issues and problem of Haiti existed long before the earthquake ever hit, and getting a country repaired and people back in their homes is just one step in a long process.
The Morket’s and King’s organization have been at work in Haiti trying to move the country past it’s 3rd world problems by establishing a hospital, orphanage and a school. It is quite the establishment to see as you are rolling through Port-Au-Prince as their are few and far between like it.
I flew down there with just my camera and tripod to see what kind of story I could tell.
Yes there are tent cities, crumbled buildings and roads in disrepair but alot of these things are getting fixed. What continues to be the issue for Haiti can be found in Dr. Morket’s interview. Among the population their is still a lack of understanding about pregnancy and proper maternity care. Even if a mother makes it past child-birth she may not know the proper vaccines for her child. Then as the child grows and becomes educated their is a slim chance of that child receiving a job or enough pay to support him or herself. It’s a tireless cycle.
So what do you do…you begin to build an oasis of hope. You build a hospital and encourage women to come to become educated. You build a school that teaches children basic education and trades and can train nurses for your hospital. You create an orphanage to care for those that have no one to care for them. Most of all you trust in God, because without Him this oasis can’t exist.
So that’s what this video is about, to share the needs of King’s Organization, a place that is trying to build up the future of Haiti. If you are interested in knowing more about the organization feel free to check out the Hearten Haiti website. Hearten Haiti is the link that exists between the U.S. and King’s Organization. It is crucial to funding, supporting and raising awarness about King’s Organization and the needs that exist.
We are proud to introduce you to the newest part of Intentuous, “Through the Veil Cinematic Wedding Films”. This year we decided we wanted to create a division of our company that was solely focused on wedding films.
Intentuous is so much more than just weddings as you have probably noticed from our site. We work with small businesses, entrepenuers, non-profits, churches, etc. We felt that we were really not giving our wedding clients the experience they deserved when coming to the Intentuous website or there was some confusion about who we were or what we do. No more! Through the Veil is here! We are here to make your wedding day an unforgettable experience. To make that walk down the aisle like no other, and all the little details come to life through the beauty of cinema. Check out the new site and see for yourself throughtheveil.tv.
If you are a former Intentuous Films wedding client we thank you so much for your support and hope that you continue to support us by liking our Facebook Page and sharing our films with your family and friends. This will be an unforgettable journey for us and for all our future Through The Veil bride and grooms as they will experience wedding videos like no other, just wait, you will see.
56 hours, nine auto trader executives and a boat made from duck-tape and wooden pallets (watch the video seriously ). That was what Camp Highlands team of Jeff Ernhardt, Bill Chapman and highland camp staff put together for the group of Auto Trader executives, along with tons of other thrills and spills. Some of the executives had never even stayed the night outside to our surprise and our cameras got a lot of it. We made sure we put together a pretty thrilling highlight reel to tell the story. We filmed for2 days, then at the end of the 2nd day had about 30 minutes with the group before they hopped back on the bus to go back to Chicago, New York, LA and other various cities to interview each member. They talked about there most emotional/life changing time during there stay and it really was pretty moving. It was cool to see such change in people in just 56 hours. Our job was to capture the team building event and show just how challenging the challenges were. The group really had to rely on one another to get through the challenges. We had to film in a run and gun type style as there was no pre-planning for the shoot. Cameras were a 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III, T3I and Go Pro HD Hero 2 . We had 2 Tripods, a slider and a stedicam. 14mm, 50mmm, 24-105mm and 200mm lenses. Rode Mics and Zoom H4 for Audio. The video would be a tool used by Auto Trader to show CEO’s the growth of the group during their time at Camp Highland. We think it turned out to be a pretty cool tool
