56 hours, nine auto trader executives and a boat made from duck-tape and wooden pallets (watch the video seriously ). That was what Camp Highlands team of Jeff Ernhardt, Bill Chapman and highland camp staff put together for the group of Auto Trader executives, along with tons of other thrills and spills. Some of the executives had never even stayed the night outside to our surprise and our cameras got a lot of it. We made sure we put together a pretty thrilling highlight reel to tell the story. We filmed for2 days, then at the end of the 2nd day had about 30 minutes with the group before they hopped back on the bus to go back to Chicago, New York, LA and other various cities to interview each member. They talked about there most emotional/life changing time during there stay and it really was pretty moving. It was cool to see such change in people in just 56 hours. Our job was to capture the team building event and show just how challenging the challenges were. The group really had to rely on one another to get through the challenges. We had to film in a run and gun type style as there was no pre-planning for the shoot. Cameras were a 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III, T3I and Go Pro HD Hero 2 . We had 2 Tripods, a slider and a stedicam. 14mm, 50mmm, 24-105mm and 200mm lenses. Rode Mics and Zoom H4 for Audio. The video would be a tool used by Auto Trader to show CEO’s the growth of the group during their time at Camp Highland. We think it turned out to be a pretty cool tool

From time to time we get amazing opportunities to work with churches and non-profit organizations to film or edit footage they have for specific projects. In this case, we were presented with the opportunity from North Point Community Church to create a video for their Be Rich Campaign This specific project was an update on how God is using the generosity of North Point Ministries in Ngaamba, Kenya through the ministry of The 410 Bridge. Footage was filmed in Kenya at the start of the project and continued to be filmed by amateur camera operators and photographers while teams were in Kenya assisting with the project.

We came in during the post production phase and were asked to tell a story with the footage that had been captured. North Point Media Ministries gave us an amazing script to start with and we filled in the timeline with some changes. Overall, a great video with an amazing message was achieved to keep the attenders of North Point up to date about how their generosity is affecting the world.

June weddings, there is just that special something about a June wedding. The carefree feel of summer, everything is fully bloomed and everyone ready for some summer festivities. Katie and Luis’ wedding was how we kicked off our June and it was delightful. The bride got ready at the lovely Kimball Hall in Rosewell Georgia, while preparations for the reception that evening were underway. Everyone made their arrival at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church for the ceremony which had it’s own special twist as Intentuous live streamed the ceremony to family members that were not able to attend. We returned to Kimball Hall for a wonderful summer evening of cocktails outside then moved inside for dinner, dancing and a down right good time. Katie and Luis it was an honor to be able to film your wedding and we wish you the best.

The setting was just what these two wanted, Ann and John chose Callaway Gardens for their beautiful wedding. They enjoyed the stay with family and friends and on their big day it was absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time filming these two love birds and think that they had a good time getting hitched as well. Ann and John you both are wonderful people with kind hearts and good spirits, thanks so much for allowing us to film your wedding day!

Heritage Academy is an incredible private Christian school located in Braselton Georgia. It’s model differs from many private schools around the country and creates a very unique but awesome environment for it’s students. Heritage Academy calls their model “The University Model” and this model partners parents with qualified professional teachers to achieve academic excellence in a Christian environment. The unique structure allows you to have more time with your child during the week and encourages the development of strong study habits and work ethic. The model has been well received with proven results in greater academic success and Godly character development for students. in essence it is a hybrid of homeschooling and private school. Students are in school 3 days a week and at home the other 2 days.

Heritage came to us asking for a short promo video to convey the “University Model” to prospective students and parents in a concise manner that would leave viewers with a taste of the school and wanting to know more. We made sure that we fully understood the University Model and a well written script outlined exactly what the video would be communicating to the viewer. It was through this and good communication with the school that the film was properly executed and great results were achieved.

Overall we are so happy to have had the opportunity to work with the students, teachers and staff at Heritage Academy. It truly is an amazing institution and we hope that it has great success. A special thanks to Dede Gossage for coordinating so many logistics that needed to happen on the day of filming, Walker Gossage for helping with camera, and Carlos Carthen for helping with sound.

A thirty second commercial highlighting the excitement and thrill of riding a zip line over the tree top canopies of North Georgia. This was the second of two videos produced for Lake Lanier Canopy Tours a state of the art zip lining company located at Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Fast paced and in your face, scenes from the 3 minute trailer were edited down for a commercial that will get your blood pumping for some high flying action. After effects animations were used for titles to enhance the footage adding that extra importante branding and message to the video. Again…enjoy!

With over 8500 feet of zipping along the shores of Lake Lanier, this is absolutely the most scenic zip line tour in North Georgia. What an incredible shoot as well. At times carrying thousand’s of dollars of equipment 50 feet up a telephone pole seemed like a crazy idea but the results were great!

The Shoot

Two and a half days and a lot of ground to cover. We probably walked over 10 miles and it was important to have small portable gear that we could carry in backbacks. Canon 5D Mark II camera and the Hero Go Pro were the choice. Lenses included Canon EF Lenses: 14, 50, 25 – 105 and 70 – 300. The 14mm worked out great for scenic shots giving us that near fisheye look showing the expansiveness and views high above the canopy. We also relied on the 70 – 300mm zoom for getting closer to the zippers from long range.

The Studio

We used Adobe Premiere for our edit…so nice not to have to transcode H.264 files from the 5D and the Go Pro. Music was an extremely important part of this edit, it drove the whole video. We used Spotify to listen to track after track, narrowing down tracks in a playlist Mute Math’s “Reset” was the final choice. After our sequence was set all the clips were opened in After Effects for touch up to sky shots that may have specs of dust on them from dirty lenses or time remapping clips for slow motion. Each clip was then individually colored using Red Giant’s Look’s software. This software was great to add that punch for sky shots and add some shadowing using the matte box feature for shots that were blown out in certain spots.

Overall

We’d love to thank Lake Lanier Canopy Tours for the opportunity, we had a great time and what a fun thing to shoot, I mean zip lines come on, awesome! We’d also like to thank, Adam Hedstrom for letting us use his truck and coordinating the shoot with canopy tours. Mute Math for the glorious music.
